Laser measurement with Riegl FG21-P: Setting
In a fine proceeding due to an alleged speeding violation on the B 19 between Kronungen and the junction with the B 303, we were able to have the case dismissed. By means of an expert opinion, it was possible to prove that at the time of the measurement, due to a curve, our client’s vehicle was “behind” a delineator and the guard rail from the point of view of the measuring officer (and thus also of the measuring device). Thus, contrary to the exact specification in the operating instructions, the target detection range was not “free”.
The Schweinfurt Local Court discontinued the proceedings pursuant to Section 47 II OWiG.
